RESEARCH EXPERIENCES

 

1. Personal Design. Beijing, China 04/2010 - 09/2010

Project: Remodel a new private apartment

   -Produced the whole design plan; settled the design style and the completion date in accordance with the client’s requirements; made the expense budget;

   -Worked out the design blueprint; found a contractor and started the construction process;

   -Purchased furniture and other household appliances after the completion of remodel.

 

2. Team Work Design. Hongik University，Seoul, South Korea 08/2011

Design Theme: Design a specific item related with “Food”

 -Carried out an investigation on food culture in Seoul; Kept records with the help of Polaroid camera;

 -Summarized the investigation result and made the classification display boards; inspired with the idea of designing a POS with photo-taking function and  presented our report on this idea;

 -Designed this POS after a brainstorm within the group; gave the final presentation after the completion of our design.

 

3. Participation in design contests 02/2011-07/2011

 -Participated in Vatti Design Competition, Red Dot, "SANY" Mechanical Design Competition, the 8th“Century Cup” Student Extra

 -curricular Academic and Scientific Works held by BIT in 2011.

 

4. Field Investigation in Anhui Hongcun, Xidi, Suzhou, Nanjing, 09/2011

Investigation Purpose：Observe local culture and its influence on custom, food, architecture etc.; Gain an inter

 -cultural perspective in design -Carried out a survey on local farming instruments, analyzed their origin;

 -Observed the features of local architecture, woodcarving, stone carving and tile carving;

 -Summarized investigation result and made a report on the local architecture, appliance and craft.
